Yes, I do remember you, killerklayton. I hope you had a great Christmas. The tuition is 15 ecto. Thanks for all the interest everyone.

I remember some discussion about the purpose of the tuition earlier where you said (more or less) that it was to ensure commitment to the academy, confidentiality of the builds/techniques, seriousness of the student, etc. Basically that you were looking for the students to pay tuition, not so much that you were looking to get paid tuition. I am interested in this but would like to be able to pay my tuition by dropping the ectos on the ground (in your view of course), moving away from them, and rezoning. That way I would have made a commitment and you would know it. Would that be acceptable?

zaxxon, that is a fascinating offer, and it would be acceptable to me for the payment of tuition for no other reason than it is fun and unique and it would show the same level of commitment others have made. There are other reasons we collect tuition, such as having resources to invest back into the Academy, but I like the idea enough to let you do it. However, there are a few pragmatic barriers to the proposal:
1. You must be accepted by the admissions board prior to payment of your tuition. The admissions board is currently in recess for the remainder of 2005, and they are notoriously selective even when they are in session (and becoming more so with each new application).
2. If you drop the ectos with me present and then you zone out, how do you know I won't go over and pick them up after you are gone? If I zone out first, how do I know you won't go over and pick them up? See the problem? Better to just pick some random stranger to give the ecto to, but how would we know it is really a random stranger and not some plant? We could always give the 15 ecto to someone who we know is not associated with the Academy and is responsible and have them destroy the ecto: maybe MCS or Nef wouldn't mind being an ecto sink for 5 minutes?

i wouldn't mind being an ecto sink either. =P
however, i think he may have meant zoning out as a party. that would zone you as well, and the ecto would be forever lost in oblivion.
haven't seen you on gw lately. then again, i haven't been on much either.
oh yeah, happy holidays!

Thanks, Strider! Happy holidays to you, too! I have been playing on my second account more lately (simply because I don't get as overwhelmed with whispers as I try to encourage people to post on our website at LBSRA.net with needs and questions, and because I really enjoy playing necro and ele, sometimes, in addition to my monk, warrior, ranger, and mesmer primary account characters). I've also been traveling a lot lately. We should tackle the UW again sometime. I still haven't cleared every quest and killed every single monster in a single trip yet.

Janky work hours
Hello Lady Blue, I'm working on my paladin girl and she is currently at arrura glade. I had her pegged to be my runner, and will definitely be trying to enroll, i know a guy who runs from rankor-warcamp-granite-copper-iron mines-grotto and charges 8k a head, this is the run i want to do as I did it with him at level 14 and made it most of the way. I need your school to hone my skill. My hours at work are kinda janky and depending on your schedule i may only be able to attend classes as little as 2 days a week. But I'm fired up about it!! (ingame= Born of Justice) i hope you have some slots open when i ascend.

Happy New Years !!!!!
Dark Angel if you are looking for this run you could spend half the price by purchasing X-Bomb's videos as they cover every run you are looking for. I hear they are excellent, and you get guides as well. Oh yeah, and he is a former LBS if this means a lot to you. He probably provides the same hands on training that you might get with these guys as well.

One quick note of clarification. X-bomb (eks bee monk) is still affiliated with LBS and still in the LBS guild.

Right, Eks is an active and valued member of the LBS Academy. Though the X-Bomb video package is primarily Mo/R and other builds, the videos are useful. The videos are a totally different offering than what the Academy provides, which includes certification by the original and industry leader, resources, networks, and much, much more. I hope everyone had a great holiday, and we wish you all an enjoyable and prosperous New Year!

Wow you guys do some serious running. I've only just started running as a career and some of the packages, no all of youre packages seem way out of my league.
I'm a ranger/warrior and i use a combination of Sprint, dodge and storm chaser to keep at a constant running pace of 25-33% more than normal.
But i havent even tried running missions yet let alone cross-continent treks.
I dont suppose there is any advice going free for my class of runner? naw probly not.

Its really a typical type of play style. Some runners don't enjoy doing the Droknars Forge run and just stick to other common runs such as Ascalon -> Amnoon Oasis. If you are wanting to complete the Droknars Forge run you will most definately need a W/Mo-R(ranger is probably the least used build and very difficult to have 100% sucess rate with it). That being said, Ranger/Warrior can complete almost any run just short of the southern shiverpeaks.

Some of your prices are nuts that you are charging for runs.
I asked one of your guild members in the LBSRA on how much a run form the Grendich courthouse to Beacon's Perch is. The price?
25k.
Totally not worth it and you can find a runner that is way cheaper and has a 100% success rate.

All prices listed are full party prices.
As for being nuts, that's just one opinion. Obviously many, many players think otherwise.

Yeah, I must agree that LBS prices are ludicrous but as many say, they are pro runners and I will take their word for it.

We will still do early runs, but only if an entire party needs us or an individual is willing to pay the "entire party" price to have us come and run them immediately. Consequently, most of our runs have either new starting points, or have increased "full party" prices.

Think of the TIME compared to PRICE of a 25 minute FORGE RUN compared to the TIME of other RUNS. I think it's reasonable.
